Arup is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Science, Industry and Technology Building Services Engineering team in Milan, Italy. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering mission-critical electrical systems for our clients.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on mission-critical facilities to join our team. You will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary projects, providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, and liaising with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the electrical design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver electrical systems, including emergency systems, back-up power, lightning protection systems, small power, earthing systems, ICT, and building automation and controls systems.
  • Design and deliver electrical systems for data centers and industrial buildings.
  • Collaborate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the electrical design.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical systems meet their requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the design of electrical systems.
  • Experience with data center and industrial buildings projects.
  • Knowledge of BIM software, including Revit, and parametric design.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
