We are seeking a highly skilled Product Cost Engineer to join our team at Alstom, a leading global company in the transportation industry. As a Product Cost Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of our innovative transportation systems, including high-speed trains, electric buses, and driverless trains.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain cost models for product families to estimate technical costs
- Analyze electric and mechanical scopes to identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Support the engineering team in the design-to-cost process
- Participate in the creation of target costs and support sourcing teams in negotiations with suppliers
- Coordinate design-to-cost studies and ensure the transformation of opportunities into validated cost reductions
- Good Excel, Qliksense, DMA, and Catia skills
- Good product knowledge, including electric and mechanical fields
- Good industrial process knowledge
- Curious, open-minded, and rigorous with excellent communication skills
- English speaker
