About the RoleThe Senior Financial Reporting Accountant will sit within the EU Finance team playing a key role in meeting regulatory obligations. Based in our Milan office but working closely with the Group team in London, you'll be required to collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities- You will be responsible for monthly preparation and review of management accounts.
- Daily accounting of FX trades and derivatives is also part of your remit.
- Reconciliation of liquidity and financial instruments, as well as accounts payables and VAT management.
- You will support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and interim profit reviews.
- Ownership of ICARAP document.
- Preparation of CONSOB and Bank of Italy regulatory reporting.
- Liaison with external auditors and advisors.
- Supporting on processing credit line requests and related monitoring activities.
We're looking for a degree in economics and at least 3 years of experience in the finance department of investment firms, banks or other companies in the financial services industry.
- Audit experience from a big four in the financial services industry would be beneficial.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail are essential.
- Basic knowledge of investment services regulation and related recurring reporting to supervisory authorities (Bank of Italy and Consob) is necessary.
- Knowledge of derivatives on currency and SAP Business One would be advantageous.
- Fluent English language skills are required.
