Job Summary

This role supports the Store Manager to drive category performance by supervising sales teams, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and driving sales goal attainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales associates to improve selling skills and close sales to achieve sales goals and KPIs.
  • Drive sales for assigned categories, including partnering with the Store Manager on sell-through and team training.
  • Lead a high-performing customer-facing team, coaching and providing feedback to ensure the Burberry Experience.
  • Manage customer flow to provide excellent service and ensure no client is left unattended.
  • Drive partnership between sales associates, specialists, stock, and operations teams.
  • Coach associates on successes and opportunities, ensuring proper follow-through on follow-up actions.
  • Work with the Store Manager to develop and retain talented employees through monthly development plans and annual reviews.
  • Lead new joiner integration and deliver the Burberry Experience to customers when necessary.
  • Partner with Store Manager and Training to own Burberry Experience training in the store.
  • Resolve difficult customer issues and escalate to management when necessary.
  • In the absence of store management, process post-void transactions, authorise promotional discounts, and employee sales.
  • Drive the digital experience in-store and use digital resources when face-to-face is not possible.
  • Hold a good understanding of the business and effectively communicate needs and ideas to drive the business forward.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, consistently following and enforcing company guidelines.
  • Create and maintain an open, positive, and harmonious work environment.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of POS systems.
  • Ability to handle complex customer service issues.
  • Able to use professional dialogue with clients and staff.
  • Previous experience with Apple mobile devices and comfortable with digital tools.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in retail sales.

Measures of Success

  • Monthly Burberry Experience evaluation score.
  • Performance improvement and development of associates.
  • Improvement in every KPI within the retail scorecard.
