Job Description for Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop in-office test equipment and laboratory test benches, including servers, network equipment, and power supply units.
  • Develop software for testing and create automatic test cases using selected programming languages.
  • Perform product verification, validation, and research and development activities.
  • Prepare and execute tests, make data analysis, and create test reports in laboratory and field conditions.

Requirements

  • University degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in Electrical or Informatics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably in equipment performance testing.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • A sense of accountability for test site appearance and test vehicles.

Preferred Candidate Requirements

  • Intermediate-level English language skills.
  • 3 years of experience in testing hardware, firmware, or software.
  • Understanding of basic radio principles, including antennas and transmitters.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Protocol analyzers, including Wireshark.
  • Programming languages, such as Python and C++.
  • Bug tracking systems, like JIRA.
  • Test management systems, including TestRail and qTest.
  • CI/CD solutions, such as TeamCity and Jenkins.
  • Basic principles of GNSS systems functionality.

Working Conditions

  • The job will involve working in both outdoor and laboratory environments, with documentation completed on a PC in the office.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
