Job Description:

Venice Community Housing Corporation seeks a skilled leader to fill the position of Co-Executive Director. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall administration and management of our organization.

The Co-Executive Directors will oversee six departments, led by a Director or Senior Director. They will work together to lead and/or respond to all department needs, ensuring the effective operation of our organization.

This is a full-time exempt position that reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Essential Functions:

1. **Department Oversight**: The new Co-Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing various departments, including Real Estate Development, Property Management, Overall Organizational Management and Operations, Operations and Human Resources, Financial and Asset Management, Community Outreach, Public Relations and Advocacy, Fund Development, and Program and Services Management.

2. **Leadership and Collaboration**: The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, working collaboratively with other senior leaders to achieve organizational goals and objectives. They will also ensure the effective implementation of policies and procedures across all departments.

3. **Strategic Planning**: The Co-Executive Director will play a key role in developing and implementing strategic plans to advance the mission and vision of Venice Community Housing Corporation. They will work closely with the Board of Directors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.

4. **Fundraising and Development**: The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting fundraising efforts, cultivating relationships with donors, and identifying opportunities for growth and development.

5. **Community Engagement**: The Co-Executive Director will serve as an ambassador for Venice Community Housing Corporation, building and maintaining relationships with community partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications:

A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in executive management in an organization focused on affordable housing or related field. Other management experience will be considered.

Postgraduate education in policy, planning, social work, or other related field preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative/organizational skills, including experience in providing direction and managing operations in areas such as staff supervision, budgeting, financial management, and marketing.

They will also have a working knowledge of principles and practices of real estate development and transactions, planning and land use approval processes, marketing, and affordable housing regulations and funding sources.

Demonstrated success in raising funds from public and private sources, establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with residents, community organizations, elected officials, funders, and other community partners are essential.

Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $140,000 – $175,000, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, Aflac, 403(b), vacation, sick time, 14 holidays, and 2 personal days. This is a full-time exempt position.
