Software Engineer - Customer Support

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Customer Support team in Cernusco sul Naviglio, Italy. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional remote support to our customers, utilizing your technical expertise to resolve complex software issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as 2nd line support to our customers, providing timely and effective solutions to software-related problems.
  • Coordinate incoming service tasks, ensuring seamless communication with our technical experts.
  • Troubleshoot Java, JEE, and C# code, identifying bugs and preparing software patches to resolve issues.
  • Perform proactive maintenance of current installations, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Develop change requests, collaborating with our development team to implement software upgrades and enhancements.
  • Help customers with server and database upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition to new systems.
  • Analyze problems and investigate performance issues, delivering detailed reports of each intervention.
  • Add to our knowledge base, sharing your expertise with the team to improve our support capabilities.
  • Participate in our 24/7 support team, providing on-call support to our customers.
  • Interact with other service teams in Dematic, fostering collaboration and ensuring seamless support.
Requirements:
  • Education in ICT, Electro-mechanics, Automation, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in software development using Java, JEE, C#,.Net, WinForms, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows Server, and Git.
  • Basic IT administration knowledge, including user management, remote desktop connections, and event viewer.
  • Hands-on experience in software lifecycle management, testing, deployment, server, and database installation.
  • Experience in acting as 2nd or 3rd line support, with knowledge of warehouse automation and intra-logistics a plus.
  • Valid driving license and full working proficiency in both Italian and English languages.
