About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Compliance Program Manager to join our team in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. As a key member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the environmental sustainability and compliance of our data centers and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage environmental compliance programs for operating sites and handover of construction projects to operations.
  • Support operations personnel in completing regulatory obligations and addressing permit requirements.
  • Interact with facility personnel, company management, legal counsel, environmental sustainability team, and other relevant internal stakeholders to communicate environmental requirements, identify compliance issues, act as a technical resource, and coordinate on key initiatives.
  • Define and implement necessary training for facility operations personnel for managing environmental issues.
  • Support site incident investigations.
  • Interact with regulatory agency personnel on major environmental issues.
  • Monitor development of legislative changes in the EMEA region, analyze potential impacts on operations, and provide updates to the site personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 6+ years experience in Environmental Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of combined experience in environmental permitting and compliance management in EMEA.
  • Experience with Enhesa, Regscan, EIA Tracker, Enablon, Intelex or similar tools.
