Content Strategist for Vogue Italia Digital Expansion

Condé Nast is seeking a highly skilled Audience Development Manager to join the Editorial team of Vogue Italia.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of online business models and strategies, with 5+ years of experience in the media and entertainment industry or a related field. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing the audience growth and content distribution strategy that extends the reach and amplification of content across social, SEO, email, partnerships, and other multi-platform channels for Vogue Italia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Aud Dev & Social strategy for Vogue Italia, adapting it for the market and culture.
- Meet KPIs for Vogue Italia and ensure goals are met throughout the year.
- Analyse content patterns and find opportunities for new content, formats, cadences etc., working closely with the social manager.
- Provide actionable insights to content teams daily, monthly, and quarterly so editors understand what's resonating – and what's not resonating.
- Support strategic content planning, working closely with the Head of Content and the website director.
- Guide story positioning - for social, guiding / writing SEO titles, for other platforms.
- Plan and execute distribution strategies for big stories and tentpole events.
- Maintain day-to-day SEO best practices in conjunction with the editorial teams, working with the SEO team.
- Guide syndication based on performance in other regions/markets, working with the local adaptation team and central Audience Development teams.
- Manage the distribution strategy for newsletters, working with the editorial teams to guide daily newsletter content curation.
- Maintain consistent pitching schedule to internal and external partners and monitor performance to inform and tailor future partner pitches.
- Test, develop, implement and share video viewing experiences, including intentional viewing on O&O channels and off-platform.
- Share learnings and best practices with global counterparts in Vogue and other Italian brands, working with the Sr. Director of Audience Development.
About You:
- You have 5+ years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, digital advertising agency or online marketing, advertising, or publishing organisation.
- You have full professional proficiency in English language.
- You possess inspirational and effective line management skills.
- You are an audience development professional, with a deep understanding of editorial SEO, social, newsletters, video, and other platforms.
- You have a strong understanding of social analytics and trend analysis.
- You have experience of working closely with Product, Editorial, Data, and Commercial.
- You have detailed knowledge of major web analytics tools such as Omniture or Google Analytics.
- You have deep understanding of social media channels, features, functionality, and use cases.
- You have deep knowledge of SEO impact and best practices.
- You have experience with email/newsletter and segmentation strategies.
- You have experience in working on audience development strategies for video and audio.
- You are able to clearly articulate and present to editorial colleagues and all levels of management.
- You are able to navigate a complex and matrixed business.
- You are entrepreneurial, digitally savvy, with exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Estimated Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
