Job Overview
This Service Sales Area Leader role involves pursuing large opportunities to help customers modernize their HVAC solutions. As a technical and consultative sales professional, you'll identify customer needs and design the best solutions to meet them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and prospect for modernization projects, including bid opportunities, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Manage a pipeline of sales opportunities through qualification, proposal, quote management, and booking of work to achieve Orders and Gross Margin targets.
- Provide accurate forecasting of orders on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Grow an assigned territory or group of accounts by selling Carrier's modernization offerings, working with other salespeople to deliver top-tier value for customers.
- Develop long-term relationships and partnerships with customers using consultative sales methods.
- Create Account/Territory plans to facilitate annual sales and gross margin targets while providing superior value and service to customers.
- Utilize sales tools effectively (CRM, estimating software) to plan and document progress and increase business opportunity within accounts.
- Execute customer campaigns and key initiatives aligned with Product Teams' priorities.
- Implement modernization sales installation processes by working directly with field management on modernization projects and coordinating activities and information concerning the modernization of all equipment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred), High School Diploma/GED required.
- 5+ years mechanical sales experience required.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers.
- Be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
- Be comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft-based computer software.
- Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
