About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineer to join our team at Costa Crociere S.p.A. as a Refrigeration and Ventilation Specialist. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of our provision's refrigeration and ventilation plants.


Key Responsibilities
  1. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and supervise storage temperatures of chilled and freezer rooms, as well as refrigerants, to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues.
  2. Leakage Detection and Repair: Record and address any leakages in the refrigeration and ventilation systems, including corrective actions and maintenance of ventilation and ducting systems.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead a team of HVAC technicians, setting job orders and coordinating spare parts required to ensure the smooth operation of our HVAC systems.
  4. System Optimization: Ensure the entire HVAC system's operation, maintenance, and repair, including AHU and FCU systems, to maintain a comfortable and healthy environment for our guests and crew.

Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or similar with a focus on Refrigeration/Ventilation Mechanic, and several years of professional experience in HVAC industrial and central cooling systems, preferably on cruise ships.
  2. Technical Expertise: Excellent understanding of operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of relevant systems, including F-Gas certification.
  3. Soft Skills: Team player, guest-oriented, and motivated to learn new technologies, with excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
