Vehicle Calibration Specialist

About the Role
The Vehicle Calibration Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of two-wheeler applications by performing calibrations and troubleshooting driveability issues. This position requires a strong understanding of powertrain topologies and architectures, including electric vehicle powertrain (EV), as well as experience in the automotive systems field and knowledge about control module calibration techniques and automotive's standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure fulfillment of calibration project requirements coming from legislation demands, customer requirements, and end-customer UX.
- Coordinate and execute setup of testing environment at test benches, chassis-dyno (vehicle), as well as on-road.
- Coordinate and execute experimental campaign, including data post-processing and results evaluation, with focus on drawing conclusions about calibration strategies.
- Coordinate and prepare customer documentation, attend regular customer meetings.
- Coordinate, prepare, and participate in testing trips and expeditions.
- Responsible for maintenance of calibration project documentation, according to automotive quality standards.
- Support proactively the acquisition of further customer projects.
- Actively participate in technical discussions and requirements analysis with customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master Degree in automotive engineering, Mechatronics, control engineering, or similar.
- Good English language skills required; basic knowledge of German language represents a plus.
- Very good knowledge on various powertrain topologies and architectures, including electric vehicle powertrain (EV).
- Experience in the automotive systems field and knowledge about control module calibration techniques and automotive's standards.
- Strong understanding of two-wheeler vehicle dynamics and control systems: knowledge of torque chain, pedal maps calibration, speed controller, and idle controller.
- A valid motorbike driving license (A type) is mandatory.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in development/engineering applications and motorbike driving.
- Team player attitude within a diverse and multicultural environment, proactive working style, independent, and high customer-oriented.
- High motivation and willingness to take responsibilities, self-standing personality, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
