Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Specialist to join our corporate Data & Analytics Team at Prada. The ideal candidate will work within our HQ WW Team based in Milan, leading the development and management of data science and AI projects that address real-world business challenges across all company departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data-driven solutions for sales forecasting and stock management, collaborating with key stakeholders to build predictive models and analytics tools that drive business growth.
  • Lead the development and industrialization of forecasting projects, working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Deliver in-depth analyses and insights, providing actionable recommendations to optimize business processes and drive results.
  • Build and deploy highly efficient and scalable ETL and data manipulation processes using big data and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Databricks) to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to support continuous improvement and scalability, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Monitor the performance of models over time, proactively identifying opportunities for adjustments or improvements to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on how to use data science models and interpret their outputs for strategic decision-making, driving business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in forecasting modeling, data science, and analytics, preferably in a luxury goods or fashion industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and PySpark; knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing forecasting models that drive business results.
  • Experience with Databricks, Azure, and IDEs is preferred.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken.
