Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our WHS department, you will be responsible for driving improvements in workplace health and safety across our sites.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the development and implementation of our health and safety policies and procedures.

About the Role

The Senior Occupational Health Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of workplace health and safety while driving efficiency improvements.

You will manage your programmes, collaborating regularly with other teams and stakeholders across the company, using internal reporting tools to analyse data reports and root causes that provide leadership with the information they need to make safety-related decisions.

Key responsibilities include providing guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies, driving programmes to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon, and demonstrating above-average willingness to travel within the covered region.

A Day in the Life

This is an extremely varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency.

You'll also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.

Our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. We work closely with managers, associates, and local governments across our sites to ensure we're complying with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.
