Position: Requirements Management Engineer

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

The primary responsibility is to ensure that the management of project and tender requirements aligns with the global company processes and methodologies, guaranteeing that the final product fulfills all contractual obligations.

Provide essential support and training to project and tender teams concerning the requirements management (RM) process, methodology, and tools (such as DOORS) necessary for executing the required activities.

Oversee and report on the progress of RM activities, manage the RM database, and assist engineers in their RM tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement Global Requirement Management Processes for tenders, projects, and product development by aiding project resources in accessing the DOORS Database and participating in training on the RM process and methodology. Ensure compliance with all RM policies and obtain approval from the central RM Métier for any deviations from the RM process.

Support the Train Performance Manager (TPM) in daily RM process applications:

  • Define the RM Strategy for development, tender, and execution phases with management support.
  • Draft and maintain the RM Plan.
  • Collaborate with Scope Owners to ensure clarity in their responsibilities and adherence to project timelines.
  • Ensure data is reused according to platform and tender strategies.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops with Scope Owners for each RM process phase (e.g., allocation review and acceptance workshops led by the TPM).
  • Prepare and format exports for client delivery.
  • Communicate project status through relevant KPIs.

Safeguard Contract Integrity by ensuring that the contractual baseline and all modifications are accurately implemented in DOORS and communicated to the engineering team for technical clarifications and decisions.

Guide Engineers in Requirement Development Activities by assisting Scope Owners in constructing requirement specifications and ensuring traceability of requirements to design and validation. Conduct quality reviews of requirements, provide constructive feedback, and suggest enhancements for Scope Owners to consider and validate.

Manage Change & Configuration by establishing baselines in accordance with RM processes, in collaboration with the configuration manager. Govern and maintain the Baseline Release Note per the Product Baseline Strategy.

Contribute to the RM Network:

  • Offer feedback and improvements to the Global RM Métier through RM Site representation.
  • Assist the Global RM Métier in documenting processes, methodologies, and training.
  • Support DOORS bug reporting, issue resolution with Service Desk, IS&T, and Tools upgrade User Acceptance Tests (UAT).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A university degree in engineering, complemented by a minimum of two (2) years of experience in requirements-related roles utilizing database solutions for requirements management (e.g., DOORS).
  • Hands-on experience working on projects at various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Conceptual knowledge of Systems Engineering/Integration.
  • Proficiency in technical writing, requirement elicitation, and formalization.
