Job Title: Rural Institutions and Farmers Organizations Consultant Roster
IFAD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant to support the development of rural institutions and farmers organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and support to IFAD staff and partners on rural institutions and farmers organizations development.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of rural institutions and farmers organizations to identify areas for improvement and development opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to strengthen rural institutions and farmers organizations, including capacity building and institutional development.
- Facilitate collaboration and partnerships between rural institutions and farmers organizations, and other stakeholders to promote rural development and poverty reduction.
Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in a relevant field, such as rural development, agriculture, or environmental science.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in rural development, with a focus on farmers organizations and institutions.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategies and plans to strengthen rural institutions and farmers organizations.
- Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of rural development theories and practices, and experience with capacity building and institutional development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including rural institutions and farmers organizations, and other development partners.
- Fluency in English, with working knowledge of other languages an asset.
