Your Role

As an Occupational Safety Professional - Italy Market Lead, you will be responsible for leading our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program in Italy, promoting a culture of safe working practices across all areas of the business. You will provide leadership and guidance to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health and safety risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Counsel senior management on EHS matters, ensuring effective decision-making.
• Oversee documentation of workplace accidents and incidents, analyzing circumstances and causes.
• Serve as a primary contact between government authorities and our organization, responding to insurers or solicitors in case of personal injury claims.

EHS Obligations

• Arrange, facilitate, and contribute to site Safety Steering Committee meetings.
• Ensure EHS trainings are delivered to all team members, aligning with Italian regulations and company policy.
• Coordinate medical checks for team members, adhering to local regulations.

Audit and Cooperation

• Provide EHS expertise during maintenance activities or project works, ensuring adherence to Italian law.
• Conduct audits, surveys, and checks to evaluate facility processes, health and safety supplies, and team member behaviors.
• Audit EHS procedures to ensure alignment with corporate policies and applicable regulations.

Standards and Certifications

• Support the Supervisory Body when needed.
• Maintain ISO 45001 accreditation.

EHS Programs

• Lead health and safety initiatives in the Italian market, promoting a culture of safe working practices.
• Design and implement local EHS policies and programs to minimize hazards and risks.
• Provide EHS leadership and guidance, driving a culture of ownership and team member engagement.
• Recommend practices to reduce the impact of the business on the environment.
• Organize health and safety events and activities.
• Collaborate with internal groups to support continuous improvement of operational processes.
• Help develop international EHS standards, initiatives, and best practices.

Requirements

• Qualified Certified Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) professional degree or relevant experience with OSH certification.
• High level of interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, managing priorities with an analytical approach.
• Experience influencing stakeholders at various levels within a matrix organization.
• Knowledge of EHS-related regulations.
• Enthusiasm contributing to a positive team environment.
• Fluent Italian and English language skills.

Salary Range: €55,000 - €70,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits that promote work-life balance and employee well-being.
