About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Economist to join our team at Amazon. As a Senior Economist, you will work closely with senior management, business stakeholders, scientists, engineers, and economist leadership to solve key business problems.


The ideal candidate will have a PhD in economics or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant research experience. You will be expected to develop techniques that apply econometrics to large data sets, address quantitative problems, and contribute to the design of automated systems around the company.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop econometric models using world-class data systems and apply approaches from a variety of skillsets
  • Address quantitative problems and contribute to the design of automated systems
  • Work in a fast-paced business environment to solve business problems as a member of a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications



  • Advanced expertise and knowledge of applying observational causal interference methods
