At UPS, we are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineering Specialist to join our team in Somaglia, Italy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our business and develop your career in logistics.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing analysis support for business and operational performance data, producing information and reports that will give management tools for planning and decision-making.
This is a permanent contract with a competitive salary range estimated at €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
Key Responsibilities- Design and analyze warehouse layouts to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current or future logistical processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement cost-reduction and process-improvement logistic opportunities.
- Conduct logistics studies and analyses to inform business decisions.
- Support new business implementations and create work instructions and Master Operating Plans (MOP).
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- A strong analytical mind and ability to problem-solve independently.
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or related fields.
- Fluent Italian and English language skills, both written and spoken.
