**Job Summary**

The Mechanical Engineer position at Zeeco, Inc. will be responsible for designing various pieces of combustion equipment, including pressure vessels, stacks, and piping.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop structural and mechanical designs for vessels, stacks, piping, and various structural elements.
  • Review project specifications to determine applicable design codes and project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit design reports to customers for approval.
  • Estimate steel thickness and weights.
  • Optimize structural designs for efficiency and safety.
  • Perform other related duties as determined by management.

**Requirements**

  • Masters degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering)
  • 5+ years of experience in structural design
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Aptitude to interpret specifications

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Pressure vessel design experience (ASME Section I and VIII)
  • Steel stack design experience (ASME STS-1)
  • Wind code knowledge (ASCE and International)
  • Seismic code knowledge (ASCE and International)
  • Finite element analysis (FEA) skills
  • Pipe stress analysis (ASME B31.1 and B31.3)
  • Steel design expertise (AISC and International)
  • Proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD 3D, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Experience with structural design software (COMPRESS, STAAD Pro, CAESAR II, Ansys, etc.)
