Job Summary

As a Technical Support Engineer at Franklin Electric, you will be responsible for providing technical service and support to our water systems distributors and contractors. This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and develop strong working relationships with water systems professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical service and support to our water systems distributors and contractors.
  2. Guide testing and troubleshooting of Franklin Electric water systems products.
  3. Represent Franklin Electric at on-site installation meetings to resolve field issues.
  4. Presentation of technical seminars to water systems distributors, dealers, and contractors.
  5. Represent Franklin Electric at trade shows and special events.
  6. Write and submit weekly reports highlighting problems at specific sites or with certain customers or products.
  7. Provide specialized training to specific customers.

Requirements

  1. Working knowledge of water systems in general, with specific knowledge of pumps, motors, drives, and controls.
  2. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  3. Ability to develop strong working relationships with water systems professionals.
  4. Be able to work independently with outstanding organizational skills.
  5. Previous sales or service experience preferred.
  6. Self-motivated and energetic personality with a desire to service the customer.

Education and Experience

High school technical diploma, electronics specialization ITS electronic specialization (preferred). No specific experience is necessary, but relevant coursework or internships can be beneficial.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of the basic MS office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
