We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at D-Orbit, a pioneering company in space logistics and transportation. As a key member of our Italian systems engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the customization of flight-qualified platforms and the design of new advanced missions.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safe and successful flight of spacecraft, delivering services required by mission objectives.
- Work collaboratively with other systems engineers to design and develop systems products, from preliminary design to verification and testing.
- Interface with procurement, project management, manufacturing, and flight operations teams to support the development and execution of space missions.
- Author technical documents and contribute to the development of systems architecture and subsystems design.
- Minimum one year of experience in spacecraft design and development.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, spacecraft subsystems, and data bus architectures.
- High level of work autonomy, analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication skills.
- Experience with Matlab, Python, and requirements configuration management tools.
- Basic knowledge of software development and configuration management.
- Knowledge of mission analysis tools, space transportation and servicing applications, and Linux.
- Experience with ECSS/NASA standards.
