Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Simulator Technician to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our flight simulator training devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of flight simulator training device maintenance, including technical and operational activities.
  • Attend to flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness checks, and conduct scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve training device issues and AOGs.
  • Work to identify recurring issues and pursue permanent solutions.
  • Seek opportunities to improve procedures related to various training device maintenance tasks.
  • Support logistics duties, including inventory management, tool control, and consumable item procurement.
  • Pursue knowledge and skills to become a technical expert in one or more simulator systems.

Qualifications and Skill Set Requirements

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation Field, with 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Must have the right to work within the EU.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, with knowledge of Italian beneficial.
  • Customer-oriented with ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Good working knowledge of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming languages.
  • Basic technical background and familiarity with FSTD technical issues.
  • Fundamental knowledge of various aircraft types, including Commercial Jetliners.
  • Good understanding of aircraft and training device terminology.
  • Basic understanding of Commercial Aviation training.
  • Basic knowledge of local and International regulations.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
