Assistant Store Manager Trainee

Introduction

We are seeking Assistant Store Manager Trainees to join our Lidl 2 your career development program, designed in collaboration with AHK Italien, the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce, and the Istituto Tecnico di Bari.

Candidates will be hired in October and November 2024 at our stores located in the province of Avellino (Monteforte Irpino and Atripalda).

You will embark on a 2-year training and development program, during which you will acquire all the necessary skills to become an Assistant Store Manager at Lidl stores.

1. You will be hired in October or November 2024 at one of our stores located in the province of Avellino (Monteforte Irpino and Atripalda).
2. During the two years, you will attend theoretical training at the Istituto Tecnico Superiore di Bari for approximately 1 week per month.
3. For approximately 3 weeks per month, you will work at the Lidl store and receive on-the-job training.
4. You will have the opportunity to focus on subjects related to economy and marketing at the ITS, with in-depth studies on management, logistics, and retail.
5. At the store, you will work with the Store Manager to ensure optimal commercial and economic management of the store and will be the point of reference for colleagues and customers.
6. After two years, upon passing the final exams, you will receive a double title: the Diploma ITS of Assistant Store Manager (level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework) and the Certificate of the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce for the German reference profile, which attests to the practical professional skills acquired on-the-job and has international value on the labor market.

We are looking for someone who:

1. Is between 18 and 29 years old.
2. Has a high school diploma or a professional diploma (obtained with integrated 5-year IFTS programs).
3. Is available to attend theoretical training at an ITS (approximately 1 week per month).
4. Is motivated to acquire professional skills and work experience in a solid and structured company with a young, dynamic, and stimulating work environment.
5. Has reached a level of English A2/B1.
6. Considers themselves flexible, proactive, and enterprising.
7. Likes working in a team.
8. Is enthusiastic about taking on responsibilities and solving problems quickly and pragmatically.

1. We offer a fully funded study program, including accommodation near the ITS during the two years.
2. We provide a regular monthly salary and access to benefits for Lidl employees.
3. You will be employed full-time from October or November 2024 with a High Apprenticeship Contract for Training and Research, which includes theoretical training at an ITS and practical work activities at Lidl stores.
4. You will be supported by a tutor didattico in ITS and a tutor aziendale in Lidl throughout the program.
5. After two years, your career will be ready to take off: you can continue your work experience in Lidl Italia and, in the medium to long term, you will be offered opportunities for career advancement.
6. Upon passing the final exams, you will receive two titles: the Diploma ITS (ministerial title of tertiary level) and the Certificate of Professional Competences of the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce.
