Position Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer responsible for the design, preparation, and completion of documentation packages, including 3D CAD drawings and PDM for Power Transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop mechanical designs for transformers and reactors up to 132kV in accordance with the defined scope of work.
  • Create manufacturing and customer drawings under the guidance of the team leader, which may include tank and cover designs, yoke clamps, transformer assembly, and general assembly drawings.
  • Generate a bill of materials and ensure its upload to the PDM system.
  • Prepare tender general arrangements and associated documentation.
  • Review and approve supplier offers and drawings.
  • Ensure compliance of all designs and technologies with relevant technical, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Analyze test results and integrate feedback into the database for future reference.
  • Collaborate with customers to meet specified requirements.
  • Establish best practices for transformer designs and processes within the organization.
  • Maintain and update design software such as Inventor and standard drawings.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for transformer design and optimization.
  • Understand engineering processes, quality systems, and HSE requirements.
  • Produce technical details for mechanical design to support the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Create technical datasheets and compliance documents for the tendering department.
  • Generate necessary technical documentation to assist the sales team.
  • Compile shipping lists for transformers and reactors.
  • Support the IT department in keeping Sovelia and CAD systems current.
  • Assist projects by reviewing the technical accuracy of the scope of work before system release.
  • Contribute to quality assurance through supplier development and inspection.
