Internship Mission:

We are seeking a Junior Compliance Officer intern to ensure adherence to all pertinent legal and internal regulations governing our business processes and transactions.

Under the guidance of Senior Officers, you will be involved in Corporate and Investment Banking activities, focusing on reviewing documentation and data to ensure compliance with financial crime regulations, especially concerning KYC (Know Your Customer) protocols. Your primary objective will be to mitigate risks related to money laundering and terrorist financing throughout the KYC process.

This internship spans six months, with the potential for an extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations and risk assessments for potential new clients and review existing client KYC files escalated to the Compliance department.
  • Analyze client requests related to transactions and activities, ensuring compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations and identifying any anomalies.
  • Regularly review data and solutions to confirm compliance with KYC regulations.
  • Assist in the development and review of KYC policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a detailed audit trail of activities and escalate any compliance violations.

Candidate Profile:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business management, or a related discipline.

Language Proficiency:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian; proficiency in French is advantageous.

Skills Required:

  • Understanding of EU and Italian KYC/AML regulatory frameworks and international standards.
  • High ethical standards coupled with practical skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to engage with extensive documentation.
  • Competence in administrative tasks with precision and diligence.
  • Flexibility to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
