Position Overview:

As a Junior Finance Controller at Trane Technologies, you will be instrumental in facilitating the financial functions of our distribution operations. This role involves assisting with financial planning, analysis, and reporting, while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a keen analytical mindset, exceptional organizational abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying trends and delivering insights to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits.
  • Maintain precise and current financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect financial data and aid in business decision-making.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a controller position, preferably within the distribution or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong comprehension of financial principles, accounting standards (US GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with financial software (Oracle) is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic business environments and perform well under pressure.
  • Capacity to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English.
