Job Title: AI National Skills Director
Job Summary:
Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI National Skills Director to lead the AI National Skills Initiative (AINSI) program within the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships with government, education, private sector, and civil society to skill individuals and organizations at scale on generative AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops strategic goals for and executes the AI National Skills Initiative at the country level, selecting skilling and training program offerings from across the company to drive skilling at-scale in partnership with external stakeholders and organizations.
- Formulates Microsoft's AI National Skills Initiative and advises on and responds to strategic issues on AI skilling, recommending well-thought-out actions by prioritizing, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholder positions, leveraging specialists, or escalating matters.
- Shapes Microsoft's policy agenda that addresses complex societal issues and business priorities with a focus on AI skilling, identifying and recommending AI skilling initiatives to address complex local, regional, national, and global community and civic engagement needs in alignment with Microsoft's corporate social responsibility standards.
- Develops and manages AINSI programs and/or initiatives that build resiliency, self-sufficiency, and opportunities for individuals and communities, developing and managing matrixed, highly complex project timelines, budgets, and plans for AINSI.
- Develops processes to facilitate program development, outreach, and execution, and assesses feasibility of program extension to other internal and external communities, including key internal stakeholders such as country-level leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and extensive experience in corporate social responsibility, philanthropies, government, non-government organization, and technology companies doing related work.
- 12+ years of experience in corporate social responsibility, philanthropies, government, non-government or related area.
- 3+ years of experience managing a corporate social responsibility or related program.
- 3+ years of experience working in or with a large, matrixed organization.
- Deep field experience and understanding of factors that motivate and drive results within technical, sales, and marketing organizations, including quota-carrying sales experience and/or channel or technical community development.
- Proven trusted advisor status in engagement and influence with senior leaders.
- Experience in change management and leading complex, organization-wide programs and projects.
- Excellent communications skills and executive presence; ability to represent Microsoft and be inspirational and influential in mobilizing customers, partners, communities, and our internal teams around a culture of learning.
- Proven cross-boundary collaboration capabilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with an ability to manage through ambiguity and positively manage conflict to drive positive business results.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a remote team, driving successful outcomes with virtual teams.
- In-depth experience with industry, technical, and professional skills knowledge and sales capabilities.
- For internal applicants: Familiarity with Microsoft offerings (products and cloud services), processes, and tools preferred.
- Management experience required.
