Job Summary

The Pediatric Intensivist will provide clinical care to pediatric patients in a multidisciplinary environment, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. This role offers exposure to a mix of general and high-acuity pediatric patients, with opportunities for teaching and supervision of medical residents. The successful candidate will also participate in research and publishing, contributing to the advancement of pediatric care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to pediatric patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex medical conditions.
  • Teach and supervise medical residents, promoting their growth and development as pediatricians.
  • Participate in research and publishing, contributing to the advancement of pediatric care and improving patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
  • Current state medical license and in good standing with the medical board.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification, maintained throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional clinical, research, and teaching skills, with a commitment to academic pediatrics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and adapt to complex medical situations.
