We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Payments and Cards Tribe. As a Tribe Lead, you will be responsible for defining the tribe's vision and strategy, aligning the right talents to deliver the desired results, and driving positive change and value to Business and Technology and Innovation (TDI).
Main Responsibilities:- End-to-end delivery of services in the respective area, creating tangible added value for customers, leading the product owners of his/her squads in a disciplinary way.
- Provides direction and priorities for multiple multidisciplinary teams from IT/Business and removes barriers that prevent the teams from creating value for customers.
- Seeks close interaction with senior management and other Tribe Leads, stimulating innovation and overcoming business challenges through cooperation and networking.
- Strategic Tribe ceremonies: Quarterly Business Review (prioritization, dependencies management) and Big Room Planning, representing the results.
- Leads the technical strategy, works for the product area, and drives the necessary transformation when deploying the strategy.
- Profound knowledge of the cards and payment products, including product position, issuing processes, and regulatory and security requirements.
- Skills to think big, inspire, and enthuse, standing up to senior management, generating team commitment, creating a trusting culture of working, making mistakes, and learning while delivering outstanding business results.
- Many years of leadership experience and has already worked in agile with cross-functional teams/squads, knowing how to lead by fostering an inclusive and agile engineering culture, supporting and growing this culture in existing teams.
- Mindset to act collaboratively and unselfishly, acting as a servant leader (leading without authority, trusting the squads, delegating responsibility) and continuously developing oneself.
- Strong business/commercial experience coupled with an affinity for technology and the ability to evaluate technological decisions, aiming to deliver better, faster, and cheaper and creating customer value.
- Very good command of English for working with international teams. German language would be nice to have as Tribe Leads might interact with German squads.
- Innovation and digitalization attitude, evidenced by professional experience (e.g., start-ups).
