Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Control Center Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our control center and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for remote and centralized maintenance activities
  • Coordinate and perform corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, including associated logistics and spares activities
  • Monitor and analyze reliability and maintainability figures, as well as operational performance of in-service equipment
  • Support trouble shooting and fault finding activities
  • Update and maintain software and hardware configurations
  • Prepare and submit reports on maintenance activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent technical background
  • 0-3 years of experience in maintenance activities or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of testing and fault finding techniques
  • Incident and accident investigation skills
  • Knowledge of technologies, maintenance, and railway safety rules and regulations
  • Statistical analysis and data management skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance tools and knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of hardware infrastructures, virtualized environments, and network infrastructures
  • Fluent in English language
  • Strong troubleshooting ability

Working Conditions

The maintenance activity is provided 24/7, and the technicians are organized in shifts.

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent technical background.

Languages

Italian mother tongue. Fluent in English.
