Job Title: Lead Architect

At Vontier Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Lead Architect to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for modeling and organizing the next generation software for our retail and commercial fueling operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software architecture, with experience in designing and implementing fully automated Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) processes using DevOps tools like GitHub. Additionally, they will have good expertise in Cloud Computing Technologies, especially in AWS Cloud services, covering a wide range of services in Networking, Security, Compute, Database, Storage, Monitoring, and Serverless.

The Lead Architect will also have good knowledge of big data handling and monitoring ecosystem, as well as different frameworks inside it, such as Kafka and Kibana. They will be responsible for translating product management ideas into technical tasks for the development team and influencing the technical side of the customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interact with clients, product managers, and innovation teams to model and design the next generation software.
  • Share the product vision and technical directions with developers.
  • Influence the technical side of the customer.
  • Perform regular code reviews to ensure design quality.
  • Help the development team and enhance their knowledge.
  • Support and coach the development team.
  • Reduce technical debt of existing products.
  • Participate in the governance committee to ensure convergence of the product to the defined architecture.
Requirements:
  • Overall consistent industry experience.
  • Solid experience in architecture role.
  • Designing, implementing, and supporting fully automated CI and CD processes using DevOps tools.
  • Good expertise in Cloud Computing Technologies.
  • Good knowledge of big data handling and monitoring ecosystem.
  • Good knowledge of C#, C++, and.NET Framework.
  • Experience with microservices.
  • Past experience on how to convert a monolith into a set of valuable microservices.
  • Bachelors/Masters in Engineering in computer science.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and well-organized with an analytical mind.
