Purchasing Role at Sodecia

Sodecia Automotive Europe is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Chivasso. As a key member of our Purchasing Department, you will be responsible for purchasing BOM materials, developing strategies for relevant commodities, and preparing documentation for sourcing committees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing BOM materials – Processed Products; Fasteners, Components, Extrusion, Metal, Stamping, Kit, Prototype, etc.
  • Develop strategy for relevant commodities.
  • Preparation of documentation for the sourcing committees, present on global committee.
  • Follow and execute global KPIs within responsible commodities.
  • Push for consignment stock application in all locations.

Requirements:

  • Always strive for the best and most competitive solution for our business considering all the drivers (Technical, quality, delivery, and financials).
  • Work with suppliers to improve the payment terms with our companies.
  • Push to close Long Term Contracts (LTAs).
  • Look for supplier consolidation and footprint optimization.
  • Push innovative suppliers within the company starting to work with our PCC, Engineering, and Sales.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supplier analysis for our requirements like quality & capacity level.
  • Floating RFQ and analysis on the same related to BOM functions.
  • Create purchase contracts in the ERP with materials and services with negotiated terms and conditions as per Sodecia procedure.
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with the quality team, users, vendors, and others to determine the root cause of the problem and take corrective and preventive action.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with site and company requirements for life of product, safety, and environment.
  • Preparation of BOM Purchasing reports and analysis on the gap.
  • Consolidate the BOM purchases and related contracts.
  • Consolidate the number of suppliers.
  • Finding potential opportunities on BOM Purchase.
