About the Role

D-Orbit is a leading company in space logistics and transportation, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop spacecraft systems, including customization of flight-qualified platforms and design of new advanced missions.
  • Ensure systems fly safely to orbit, deliver required services, and successfully accomplish disposal.
  • Work with other systems engineers to follow the full design and development cycle, from preliminary design to verification campaign.
  • Interface with procurement, project management, manufacturing, and flight operations teams.
  • Be the technical responsible for critical subsystems/mission phases.
  • Actively contribute and monitor the development of systems architecture and subsystems design.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team of specialists on the systems and subsystems design.
  • Coordinate the integration of different subsystems.
  • Stakeholder/mission/project requirements capturing management.
  • Support the systems test plan, procedures, and setup definition.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and systems-level knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems.
  • Knowledge of data busses architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team.
  • Experience in the use of Matlab and Python.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Mission analysis tool (GMAT/orekit).
  • Working experience in space transportation and servicing applications.
  • DOORS / Jama requirements experience.
  • Basic knowledge of software development and configuration management, e.g. GIT or Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of Linux.
  • Knowledge of ECSS/NASA standards.
Education and Language

University degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering.

This role requires professional proficiency in English.
