About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our space-based systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect our Space Segment and Ground Segment Architectures.
  • Identify and define system security requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Design and develop secure system architectures, leveraging your expertise in cybersecurity methodologies.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to address security vulnerabilities, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems.
  • Prepare and document security operating procedures and protocols, ensuring seamless execution and compliance.
  • Write detailed reports on assessment findings, outcomes, and recommendations for further system security enhancement.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Information and Communication Technologies or Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer, with a strong background in security architecture and risk assessment.
  • Hands-on experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication systems, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and cryptographic techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of English language, written and spoken, and familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and EU Security Directives.
