Job Summary:

The Contract and Legal Claim Manager will play a vital role in the Claim Department, providing expert assistance to project teams worldwide with contractual and legal advice and drafting of critical correspondence, change orders, and claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze information, gather argumentation and evidence for drafting claims/changes/rebuttals
  • Analyze contract language, determine proper interpretation, and apply to facts
  • Assist the Contract Manager/Subcontract Administration Manager/Material Supply Manager and project team members in defining and preparing the legal and contractual aspects of critical correspondence with Clients, Subcontractors, and Suppliers
  • Develop legal research and analysis concerning various legal issues
  • Cooperate with the Legal Affairs and Contracts Department in selecting and managing external lawyers needed to prepare legal opinions
  • Interface effectively with project teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Laws in Italy
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction law and claim preparation
  • Fluent English speaker and writer
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Availability to travel abroad
  • Team-working skills
  • Flexibility and desire to get involved
  • Self-motivated achiever
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time-management skills
