Research Opportunities at NATO's Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation

NATO's Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) is seeking highly skilled researchers to contribute to its Visiting Researcher Programme. As a Visiting Researcher, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in the field of maritime research and experimentation, advancing your knowledge and skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.

About the Visiting Researcher Programme

The Visiting Researcher Programme is designed to provide researchers with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, addressing some of the most pressing challenges in the field of maritime research and experimentation. You will have the chance to collaborate with CMRE's team of experts, advancing your knowledge and skills in areas such as sensors and signal processing, ocean observation and prediction, and operations research of complex systems.

Current Research Programmes

CMRE's current research programmes include autonomous mine countermeasures, cooperative anti-submarine warfare, data and environmental knowledge and operational effectiveness, and maritime security. Applicants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the technical content of the Centre's current research efforts, and tailor their applications accordingly.

Requirements

To be eligible for the Visiting Researcher Programme, applicants must be nationals of NATO member states and hold a University Degree (Bachelor's or Master's Degree). Research Fellows (RF) must hold a University Degree (Bachelor's or Master's Degree), but do not meet the qualifications as VS. Visiting Scientists (VS) must hold a Ph.D. and possess at least 2 years post-Ph.D. work experience in the field.
