About the Role
The IT Infrastructure Specialist plays a vital part in the IT function at Kuehne + Nagel, a leading logistics company. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Security: Monitor daily IT Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to IT security by reporting any potential risks to the smooth operation of information systems.
- Technical Features: Control monitoring tools to ensure the functioning of all servers, databases, and network components. Check daily backup procedures and maintain IT documentation on the team's wiki.
- User Support: Collaborate with the help desk support team to resolve issues at Italian sites and offices. Assist in maintaining local hardware across Italian sites and support requirements gathering for new sites, warehouses, and business.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the submission of proposals and ideas for improving IT infrastructure.
Requirements
- Familiarity with hardware devices.
- Experience in server administration, including configuring, managing, and maintaining servers.
- Knowledge of network administration, including managing network infrastructure.
- Effective collaboration, problem-solving, and a cooperative approach to achieving shared goals.
- Proficiency in English at an intermediate level.
