Data Center Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineering Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. This is a unique opportunity to work on the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions.
- Ensure the implementation of safety procedures and oversee facility operations.
- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance and manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required.
- Professional or formal Electrical Certification or Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field.
- Demonstrate key electrical competencies (Practice & Theory) & knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls).
- Very good command of English.
- Data Center/ mission critical engineering experience.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Familiar with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems and data collection/trending.
- Willing to travel between data center sites, and internationally if required.
- Driving license valid in Italy.
