Accountant Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our Global Business Services division in Genoa, Italy.

Job Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for performing professional accounting and financial related work tasks for our Italian legal entity. This includes ensuring that the finance function is carried out in line with corporate policies, guidelines, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Analyze P&L accounts and comment variations
  • Assist in the financial year-end closing process
  • Report local figures according to group guidelines
  • Review local figures to be sent to tax authorities
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Support external/internal audits
  • Comply with local laws/regulations and with requirements from external parties
Requirements and Qualifications
  • University level degree in accounting and/or finance
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Ability to work with finance software, as IFS, SAP, or similar
  • Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Good MS Office skills, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel

Salary Information

Estimated annual salary: €45,000 - €60,000, depending on experience.
