We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team at EssilorLuxottica's Operations Plant in Italy. As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, and review of procedures and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Process Measurement Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), capabilities, cycle time, balancing, desaturation, and flows to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Process Parameters Management: Manage and analyze chemical and physical parameters of production steps to understand product characteristics and behavior.
- Design of Experiments (DOE) and Testing: Develop and manage DOE and testing plans to optimize process parameters.
- Problem Solving and Implementation: Identify and implement solutions for safety and quality improvement, cost reduction, and lead time reduction.
- Economic Management and Business Case Elaboration: Handle economic assessments and develop business case studies.
- Process Standardization and Optimization: Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes.
We are looking for a candidate with a Master's Degree in Materials or Chemical Engineering, who is familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies. You should be an excellent performer with a proven track record of academic and professional excellence. Additionally, you should have a great knowledge of Office package (Excel, Power Point, etc.) and be a great communicator and mediator.
