Procurement Specialist

At Donaldson, we are driven by a passion for solving complex filtration challenges. As a key player in our supply chain, the Buyer will play a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining purchasing planning parameters at an item level, achieving high service levels for production and customer requirements at minimum cost.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining and reviewing item-level purchasing planning parameters to ensure timely delivery and high quality products.
2. Conducting daily visual inspections of inventory to determine the status of stock and placing orders based on the MRP system, production forecast, and approved suppliers.
3. Reviewing the MRP report and expediting orders when necessary to ensure timely delivery.
4. Qualifying new suppliers through a dedicated portal, sending them necessary documents as required by Donaldson's internal procedures.
5. Processing order confirmations, tracking delivery dates, and clarifying invoice deviations in coordination with Strategic Purchasing.
6. Managing plant purchasing reporting, identifying areas for cost savings, and taking corrective actions when needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a technical diploma or degree, with 3 years of experience in industrial purchasing. Italian and English language proficiency, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, are essential. Knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle is also highly desirable.
