Job Title: Product Design Engineer for Smart Eyewear

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team in the development of smart eyewear. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical solutions for our wearable devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative mechanical designs for smart eyewear
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets product requirements
  • Design and develop prototypes and test systems to validate design
  • Push the boundaries of technology to solve complex mechanical problems
  • Work closely with industrial designers, UX team, and quality to ensure design meets product requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design
  • Proficiency in Parametric 3D CAD software, preferably Creo
  • Knowledge of PDM systems, preferably Windchill
  • Experience in design and process of injection molding
  • 3+ years of industry experience in mechanical design or mold design
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and statistical tolerance analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of design and simulation tools, prototyping tools, manufacturing technologies, and materials
  • Working knowledge of material properties, such as plastics, metal, adhesive, glass, etc.
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Scientific approach and great problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
