About This Role

At CAE, we're committed to creating a safer world through innovative technology and expertise. As a Helicopter Simulator Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of performance and reliability in our advanced aviation simulators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve complex problems in flight simulation systems
  • Collaborate with test engineers and pilots to implement updates and bug fixes
  • Support the integration of data, software, and hardware, and exchange of various assemblies
  • Perform calibration of instruments and switching of systems on and off, including function testing
  • Conduct detailed fault analysis and rectification or repair of faults/components
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems
  • Utilize maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators
  • Perform basic visual alignments and run automatic Qualification Test Guides
  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications
  • Perform administrative tasks as required
About You

We're looking for an engineering-focused individual with a technical degree or 3+ years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field. You'll need extensive expertise in electrical engineering, knowledge of avionics is a plus, and computer literacy. Some experience in soldering and circuit board repairs is preferred. You'll also need strong communication and teamwork skills, with good knowledge of Italian and English.
