About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Nexi Germany. As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Conducting in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial processes, controls, and best practices.
  • Budgeting: Coordinating and overseeing the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management.
  • Forecasting: Developing and maintaining accurate financial forecasts, monitoring variances, and providing insights to optimize resource allocation.
  • Internal Controls: Establishing and maintaining robust internal control systems to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • External Audits: Collaborating with external auditors and regulatory bodies, facilitating audits, and addressing any identified issues promptly.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial services or technology industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and relevant financial regulations.
