Job Overview

At Intertek, a leading provider of Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification (ATIC) services for the Industry Services Division, we are seeking a skilled Thermal Performance Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of insulation installations on pipes, valves, and vessels to ensure optimal thermal performance.
  • Evaluate the condition of insulation materials and systems, identifying defects, damage, or areas of concern that may compromise system efficiency.
  • Verify that insulation work adheres to job specifications and method statements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Assess proper application of insulation materials and adherence to safety protocols, including fireproofing and corrosion under insulation (CUI) procedures.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in thermal performance inspection, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • A strong understanding of various insulation materials (e.g., PIR, mineral/rock wool, aerogel) and their applications in thermal performance enhancement.
  • Certification as a Certified Insulation Inspector (e.g., ICoor) is preferred; certifications like NACE/AMPP are considered beneficial but not mandatory.
