Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Train Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our research and innovation team, you will be responsible for working on cutting-edge projects, eliciting customer requirements, and converting them into engineering requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and innovation projects to develop new technologies and solutions for the rail industry.
- Elicit customer requirements and convert them into engineering requirements, ensuring that the needs of our customers are met.
- Break down system requirements and support the alignment of sub-system/component requirements into respective product lines.
- Collaborate with product line engineers to provide guidance and support in meeting the ERJU goals and participate in product line design reviews.
- Advocate for moving the technology readiness level on the product development towards field trials/pilots/deployment.
- Experience working on research and innovation projects.
- Requirements management experience, including working with tools such as DOORS and Polarian.
- System engineering toolset experience, including FMEA, trade-off analysis, and solution tree.
- Working knowledge of mobility technologies, including perception, remote driving, and automated driving.
- Working knowledge of train signaling, including ETCS, CBTC, and TCMS.
- Master's degree in Engineering, with a focus on Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation, Railway, Automotive, or Aerospace.
- Experience working with customers/end-product users and translating their needs into engineering requirements.
- Location: Piossasco (Italy), Tours or Paris area (France).
