Technical Product Specialist, Cycling Infrastructure

Our team is looking for a highly skilled Application Engineer to support the growth of our EMEA original equipment sales of drive systems within the bicycle markets. Working remotely from Italy, France or Spain, you will be reporting to the Business Development Manager Mobility EMEA.
About the RoleWe are currently seeking an ambitious, forward-thinking professional with a background in mechanical engineering to join our global team. As an innovation leader, your primary responsibility will be to develop deep product and program knowledge of our bicycle products and applications. This will enable you to design drives and develop new products that meet customer needs.
You will also be responsible for developing and executing testing plans for current, future, and competitive products. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with inside business development managers, partners, customers, and distributors to support the development of strategies, tactics, and products targeting and closing competitive opportunities.
Your expertise will help us understand the competitive landscape and build a product pipeline to capture market share. You will interact directly with customers to understand their products, needs, and respond quickly to requests for assistance.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of related experience. You must have experience working as an Engineer for a bicycle manufacturer and be highly proactive, self-starter requiring little to no supervision.
You should possess project management skills to follow up on work at specific plants or test sites. Your analytical skills will allow you to analyze customer data and organize outputs into actionable business plan objectives. You must understand the financial implications of specific actions or commitments that would be offered to support contract business.
A strong presentation and selling skillset along with operational understanding of key initiatives and drivers, and the ability to match these up with our capabilities, is essential. You must be legally authorized to work in the EU.

Gates offers a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 per year, depending on location. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
