Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Project Manager to join our team at Smartenergy Group Ag. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development process of PV projects, including large-scale PV, Renewable Energy Communities, Solar Rooftops, and energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development process up to Ready to Build stage for PV projects, including large-scale PV, Renewable Energy Communities, Solar Rooftops, and energy storage systems.
  • Carry out preliminary technical and environmental assessments for project acquisition in cooperation with Business Development.
  • Define and follow up project development process, including timeline, budget, cash flows, and necessary reports.
  • Monitor preliminary design of projects, identifying, engaging, and supervising engineering consultants to ensure compliance with permitting, environmental, and construction requirements.
  • Liaise with electrical network operators, managing web portals, up to grid connection execution.
  • Liaise and cooperate with engineering and construction departments.
  • Manage communications, archives, and data flowing between competence centers and the Italian branch.
  • Knowledge and managing initial feasibility and constraints screening activities studies (GIS analysis).

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in developing, asset management, consultancy, or advisory of greenfield PV projects in Italy.
  • Proven understanding of the Italian regulatory framework related to the energy sector, particularly the development of PV Plants, including environmental and licensing requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Italian electricity system - technical and regulatory, including distributed generation regulations plus utilities and related interconnection procedures.
  • English proficiency written and oral.
  • Desirable skills: Project Management or Technical Advisory experience, CAD and GIS software user, PVSYST user, BESS and Wind projects development frameworks knowledge, Spanish, Portuguese.
