Global Procurement Specialist for Indirect Commodities

Company Overview:
MTA S.p.A is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Global Procurement Specialist for Indirect Commodities.

Role Overview:
This position focuses on the management of suppliers across various categories, including:
  • Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) and Investments, including assembly lines, electronic components, and facility management.
  • Services such as Engineering, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Human Resources (HR), and various consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the aforementioned commodities, including Request for Quotation (RFQ), negotiations, project awards, and supplier database management.
  • Develop and implement a global commodity strategy in collaboration with regional buyers.
  • Proactively identify cost reduction opportunities and engage in price negotiations with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with various departments for the procurement of services, investments, and equipment.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to determine optimal technical and economic solutions for CAPEX.
  • Manage and optimize the Group Investment Planning process.
  • Lead Change Management initiatives for machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking for key commodities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for commercial and strategic communications with suppliers, including reporting to senior management.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Management Engineering, or Economics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, such as Indirect Materials or CAPEX Commodity Buyer, Process Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Fluency in English and Italian; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Experience with Tier-1 international industrial companies or Tier-2 midsize commodity firms is preferred.
